Book Review- Its Not About The Bike-Lance Armstrong

Its Not About The Bike, is an autobiography written by Lance Armstrong. Lance is a cancer survivor and a former world champion cyclist. This book encapsulates the journey of Lance Armstrong till he wins his first Tour de France title. This story is filled with hope, drama and action.
In his youth, Lance is a budding cyclist who goes on to win the World Cycling Championship in 1993. Suddenly, out of the blue, Lance finds out he has cancer. The 6 letter word is enough to scare the living daylights out of him. He thinks that his career is over.
Later on, we find the painstaking cycle in which Lance goes through severe chemotherapy cycles to properly recuperate.
Moving forward, we are shown how Lance improves his fitness and readies his body for the Tour de France.
Lance had contested the Tour de France once, even winning a stage but he is not able to complete the race. Now, with a lean and a newly built body he is determined to atleast finish the race.
The best part is adrenaline packed climax, or you can say anti climax.
Lance goes on to shock the entire world by the the Tour de France, 1999.
He later on goes to win 7 consecutive TdF titles.

Dragon Ball

Today, I started to watch the Dragon Ball and Dragon Ball Z series on YouTube and I will have to say I was hooked. Your spiritual self can also relate to the series sometimes. The intriguing thing are not the fights but the character, their legacies. The Dragon Ball universe has intricately written character and plots. The main plot is about a Saiyan-breed boy, Goku who has come to Earth to destroy it but later gets hurt on the head as a baby and forgets about his mission. A man called Gohan adopts him as a grandchild. He trains under a hippie called Master Roshi. Saiyans are able to harness Ki or simple energy from which they can do various things ranging from flight to instant transmission to another place. I wont go further and leave the watching to you. It is a must watch show.

I must sincerely apologize for leaving the book review halfway through. I wont continue the book review on Gently Falls the Bakula but do book reviews on more popular, mainstream books.
